Underneath, the 2027 Frontier is the same truck as the 2026. It keeps the 3.8-liter V6 and the 9-speed automatic, the

our
2026 Frontier overview.
Prices rose on all 11 versions sold in both years, and the standard equipment did not change on any of them. Every new

What Each Trim Adds and Which One Fits
The 2027 Frontier comes in four grades: S, SV, PRO-X and PRO-4X. You can also get the SV as a Sport Edition or with the
Dark Armor package.
S
The S is the only grade you can get as a King Cab, and it also comes as a Crew Cab.
King Cab: 6-foot bed, seating for four, reverse-opening rear access doors, forward-facing rear flip-up seats and
16-inch styled steel wheels.
Crew Cab: four full-size doors, seating for five on a 60/40-split flip-up rear bench, 5-foot bed and 16-inch
aluminum-alloy wheels.
Every S: NissanConnect touchscreen with wired phone connection, four speakers, one USB-A and one USB-C port, manual
air conditioning, 6-way manual driver's seat and cloth seats.
Also on every S: remote keyless entry with push button ignition, sliding rear window and LED headlights.
S 4x4 adds: 2-speed transfer case, hill descent control, steel front skid plate and one front tow hook.
SV
The SV is a Crew Cab with a 5-foot or 6-foot bed and a choice of 4x2 or 4x4. It is the grade to choose for a 6-foot
Crew Cab without moving up to the PRO-4X. Over the S, it adds:
A larger touchscreen with wireless phone connection, six speakers and SiriusXM with a 3-month trial
8-way power driver's seat with lumbar support and premium cloth seats
Dual power outside mirrors, Vehicle Security System and 17-inch aluminum-alloy wheels with all-season tires
SV 4x4 adds: 2-speed transfer case, Terrain Mode Selector with Road, Rock, Snow and Sand modes, hill descent
control, steel front skid plate and two front tow hooks
SV Sport Edition
The Sport Edition is a package for the 5-foot SV Crew Cab, in 4x2 or 4x4. It suits an SV buyer who wants all-terrain
tires and black styling without moving up to a PRO grade. The package adds:
17-inch Black Sport aluminum-alloy wheels with 265/70R17 Hankook Dynapro all-terrain tires
Aluminum skid plate, LED fog lights and grille accent lighting
Black lower front fascia, grille and mirrors, plus Sport badges on the bedside and tailgate
Black Sport cloth seats with yellow accent stitching and a dark headliner
SV Dark Armor
Dark Armor is a package on the SV Crew Cab, with either bed and either drive. It gives the SV a darker look with:
17-inch dark aluminum-alloy wheels
Dark front grille, dark outside mirror caps, Dark Armor badge and dark FRONTIER tailgate lettering
Dark interior accents and a dark headliner
PRO-X
The PRO-X comes only as a 5-foot Crew Cab with rear-wheel drive. It suits a buyer who wants PRO equipment but does not
need four-wheel drive, and it builds on the SV with:
Bilstein off-road performance shock absorbers and 17-inch PRO aluminum-alloy wheels with 265/70R17 all-terrain tires
LED signature headlights, LED daytime running lights and LED fog lights
Black overfenders and two Lava Red painted front tow hooks
Tow-Haul Mode switch, Nissan Intelligent Key and Dual Zone Automatic Temperature Control
PRO-X embroidered cloth seats with Lava Red contrast stitching and accents
Overhead console with sunglasses storage, carpeted floor mats and rear charge-only USB ports, for four USB ports in
all
PRO-4X: The Off-Road Choice
The PRO-4X carries the most off-road hardware in the lineup. Every PRO-4X is a 4x4 Crew Cab with the 5-foot or the
6-foot bed. It adds this hardware to the PRO-X equipment:
A switch-operated 2-speed transfer case with 2WD, 4HI and 4LO
An electronic locking rear differential
A Terrain Mode Selector with Road, Rock, Snow and Sand modes
Hill descent control
An aluminum front skid plate, plus steel underbody skid plates for the oil pan, fuel tank and 4x4 transfer case
An off-road display that tracks pitch, roll and key off-road functions, like 4x4 engagement and differential lock
status
Its 8.6 inches of ground clearance is the most of any 2027 Frontier, and its body is 74.7 inches wide, against 73.0
inches on every other version.

Frequently Asked Questions
It depends on how you'll use the truck. Snowfall measured at Indianapolis International Airport averages about
25.5 inches a year (the NWS 1991-2020 normal). But it ran 5.7 inches in 2023 and 31.6 inches in 2025, so winters
here vary from year to year. Four-wheel drive costs $3,000 more at launch on the S and $3,300 more on the SV,
and the 4x4 EPA estimates are lower. The PRO-X comes only as a 4x2, and the PRO-4X only as a 4x4.
The Sport Edition is an SV package with PRO-4X-inspired style and all-terrain tires. The PRO-4X is its own
grade, with an electronic locking rear differential and a full set of off-road hardware. At launch, the Sport
Edition 4x4 costs $1,410 less than the PRO-4X with the 5-foot bed.
Nine: Glacier White, Afterburn Orange, Red Alert, Bluestone Pearl, Super Black, Boulder Gray Pearl, Tactical
Green Metallic, Gun Metallic and the new Alpine Metallic. Afterburn Orange, Bluestone Pearl, Boulder Gray Pearl,
Tactical Green Metallic and Alpine Metallic cost extra.
The Frontier is the one with an open bed, and it seats up to five. If you need three rows of seating, the 2026
Pathfinder and the 2026 Armada seat seven or eight depending on grade. If you plan to tow more than the
Frontier's rating, the 2026 Armada is rated to tow up to 8,500 pounds.
