The Red Room

If you’re in the mood for a classy night out, head to The Red Room. This upscale nightclub makes you feel like royalty with the luxurious drinks they offer, like champagne, premium wine, and upscale spirits. Get there early to relax and mingle with friends in the lounge area. When it gets later, the lights start to dim as you experience the lounge transform into an upbeat dance club. Bust a move to music from some of the top locally and nationally known DJs. 

The Vogue

For more dancing and live music, take a trip to The Vogue. This is a great spot to discover local bands as you jam out to live music, and they host famous singers at this venue as well. Past performers include Snoop Dogg, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Johnny Cash, and Dave Matthews Band. In addition to holding live concerts, The Vogue hosts several other events, such as Movie Mondays, Bella at the Vogue — which is Indy’s #1 Latin dance night event — masquerade parties, burlesque shows, and more. 

Union 50

Union 50 is an innovative bar and restaurant that offers plenty of drink options with its giant bar spanning approximately 7,000 square feet. With bar-to-ceiling shelves holding plenty of bottles of spirits, the bartender is well-equipped to create the concoction of your choice. Union 50 was built as a union hall in 1950, so it easily seats 200 people. They host many live bands throughout the week, as well as an abundance of fun events that are guaranteed to entertain you and your friends. 

Be sure to grab some dinner before partying it up on the dance floor. You can either book a private dining experience or eat in their public dining area. Union 50’s chefs created an inventive and unique menu that changes with each season. Try appetizers like wood-fired wild mushrooms, roasted bone marrow, or steamed mussels. Follow it up with entrees like scallops, beef tenderloin, or king salmon. 

Slippery Noodle Inn

Experience a bit of history as you visit the Slippery Noodle Inn, which is the oldest bar in Indianapolis. It was created in 1850 as a roadhouse for railway passengers and is still successfully operating today as a bustling blues club. They host several popular blues musicians, like Sugar Blue, Buddy Miles, and Jay Giles, so this is an excellent spot for blues fans to visit. 

Grab some food and drinks while you relax, listen to tunes, and chat with friends. They offer menu options like Cajun chicken Alfredo fettuccine, mozzarella chicken, and ribeye steak. Try one of their many drink specials, which vary each day of the week.
