What’s Included in the New Nissan Car Warranty from Nissan and Your Nissan Dealer?
Basic Coverage Under the Nissan’s 2022 New-Vehicle Limited Warranty
The basic coverage provided by Nissan’s 2022 New-Vehicle Limited Warranty covers defects in the workmanship and the materials in the components and parts in your new car that were provided by Nissan. Parts supplied by other companies may be covered by warranties from those companies. For example, the manufacturers of the tires you find on your new Nissan offer their own warranties.

Penda Corporation provides the Drop-in Bedliner Limited Warranty. Call 866-PENDA-99 (866-736-3299) from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. CST to register the warranty on your Penda Duraliner Bedliner. The online warranty form is difficult to find.
Powertrain Coverage
With some exclusions, the Powertrain Warranty covers repairs resulting from defects in workmanship and materials for parts supplied by Nissan. The covered parts are listed in the warranty under the headings or “Engine,” “Transmission and Transaxle,” Drivetrain,” and ” Restraint System.” The warranty is for 60,000 miles or 60 months. Coverage of the restraint system covers the airbags and the electronic systems that control them.

Corrosion Coverage (Perforation from Corrosion)
The Corrosion Coverage warranty covers sheet metal panels supplied by Nissan for the body of the vehicle. With some exceptions, the warranty covers corrosion that results from normal use for 60 months regardless of the mileage on the vehicle. Nissan warrants that no additional rustproofing is needed beyond what Nissan provides. Nissan defines perforation as corrosion that extends completely through a panel of sheet metal on the body or the vehicle.
Towing Coverage
Nissan covers towing to the nearest authorized dealership if you cannot drive your vehicle due to the failure of a warranted part. The coverage includes parts warranted under all of Nissan’s 2022 New Vehicle Limited Warranties including the Seatbelt warranty and the Federal and California Emissions warranties. The duration of the coverage extends for the time period listed under each warranty.
Adjustment Coverage
During the first 12,000 miles or 12 months, Nissan covers service adjustments such as wheel balancing and wheel alignments that aren’t usually associated with replacing parts. Nissan also covers batteries for I-keys and key fobs for 12 months and offers a limited six-month warranty on OE wiper blade inserts.
