Discover the 2025 Nissan Z: Heritage and Performance
Twin-Turbo V6 Power
Underpinning the powerful performance of the Nissan Z is a 3.0L twin-turbo V6 engine that produces 400 horsepower and 350 lb-ft of torque. In the track-oriented NISMO trim, the engine produces up to 420 horsepower. In all trims, drivers can choose between a 6-speed manual transmission or a 9-speed automatic with paddle shifters. All models are standard rear-wheel drive.
Braking performance is managed by ventilated disc brakes across the lineup. The Performance trim upgrades the standard 2-piston front/1-piston rear calipers to Akebono four-piston front and two-piston rear calipers.
Heritage-Inspired Design
The Z’s exterior styling is directly inspired by the original 240Z of the 1960s. The car’s iconic silhouette is preserved in the Z’s long hood and short rear deck. The front fascia also provides a nod to the 240Z, with the simple rectangular grille and rounded headlights.
All trims feature flush-mounted door handles and a rear spoiler, while the Performance trim adds a front chin spoiler. The NISMO variant includes additional aerodynamic components throughout the body.
Driver-Focused Cockpit
The interior of this two-door coupe was designed with the driver in mind, with a horizontal instrument panel that wraps around the driver. The fully digital instrument panel features three selectable display modes that let drivers choose between a minimalistic Normal mode, info-rich Enhanced Mode, and performance-related Sport Mode.
Performance and NISMO trims feature leather-appointed seats with knee bolsters and heating functions. The GT-R inspired steering wheel was thoughtfully designed with ergonomics in mind, and includes integrated buttons and switches for easy control. In the rear, the 7-cubic-foot hatch offers enough room to hold everyday items or groceries.
Modern Technology
Aside from the 12.3-inch digital cluster gauge, the Z includes an 8-inch infotainment display in the Sport trim, and a 9-inch unit with navigation in Performance and NISMO trims. No matter which model you select, the infotainment system comes with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. A 6-speaker audio system comes standard in Sport models, while an 8-speaker Bose premium audio system with dual subwoofers in included in the other two trims.
The Nissan Z carries forward a strong legacy of performance and style. From its twin-turbo V6 engine and available manual transmission to its digital cockpit and heritage-inspired design, the Z stays true to its roots while offering current-generation technology.
