One of Nissan’s most popular cars, and one of the most popular mid-sized sedans in general, the Altima has had a consistent track record of offering attractive, sporty styling with spaciousness and practicality, and the 2022 Nissan Altima is no exception to this! The new Altima comes with an exciting array of trim levels that drivers can choose from, too. We’ve broken these trim levels down in this quick guide, to get you acquainted with all that the new Altima has to offer!
Altima S
The base trim of the 2022 Altima, the S, sets the standard for all the trim levels that follow it. The engine is a 2.5L 4-cylinder engine, which provides the Altima with a terrific city/highway fuel economy rating of up to 28/39 MPG. Safety features include a rearview monitor and automatic emergency braking with passenger detection, and a proximity key with push start. As a starting point, the Altima S is a great trim level that sets drivers up with great safety features and tech!
Altima SV
The SV trim builds on the S in some exciting ways. The SV trim upgrades the safety features of the S by adding Nissan’s suite of driver assistance features (known as SafetyShield 360), and upgrades the base trim’s infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration. The SV also comes with 17′ aluminum-alloy wheels, and a slew of optional features that drivers can opt for in the infotainment department.
Altima SR
The Altima starts to get truly sporty in the SR trim level. The SR comes with everything the SV does, plus an additional sport-tuned suspension, chrome exhaust finishers, and a special Sport Cloth seat trim. Other features of the SR trim include paddle shifters with manual shifting,19″ aluminum-alloy wheels, and two exciting feature packages: the stylish, eye-catching Altima SR Midnight Edition, and the sporty, performance-based Altima SR VC-Turbo.
Altima SL
The SL trim builds on the Altima SV, adding a few luxurious touches like leather-appointed seats, a premium audio system by Bose, and a state-of-the-art navigation system. The SL also comes with comfort features like a heated steering wheel and heated front seats, and additional safety features and driver assistance features to keep you and your passengers safe on the road.
Altima Platinum
The top-shelf Altima trim level, the Platinum trim comes with everything the SL trim does, plus a memory system for the power seats and climate control, a beautiful wood trim in the cabin, a rear-view mirror that automatically dims, intelligent AWD, and eye-catching interior accent lighting. It also comes with upgraded 19″ aluminum-alloy wheels, and even more driver assistance features than the SL trim.
